Soli is Asst SENCO and a fully qualified teacher with some 30 years experience
; specialising in Inclusion, ADHD, Autism, Asperger’s, Developmental Delay, Communication and Learning Difficulties, Down’s Syndrome and Dyslexia.
She has a senior role in a London mainstream primary school and has attended numerous SEN courses, workshops, exhibitions and has herself run training, workshops and planning sessions. Soli has attended workshops on Bereavement Counselling, Emotional and Mental Health First Aid training.
Her son has ADHD and so knows what it's like to struggle and feel isolated.
She is the author of "Five Reasons Why Most Schools Fail Your Child With Special Needs; And What You Can Do About It"
She appeared on TV to talk about the book, her own experiences and children's emotional health.
She has also produced a resource "The Secret To Behaviour Success" to make bespoke visual timetables.
Her consultancy Yellow Sun delivers support and advice to parents of children with special needs and challenging behaviour.
Soli provides training and workshops to schools to promote understanding of behaviour problems, special needs, inclusion and differentiation.
She is trained at Foundation Stage Makaton sign language.
Soli runs monthly meetings where parents meet up to share stories, swap ideas and to generally support one another. Soli delivers a brief training session at each meeting.
Finally, Soli wants to give back. So she donates a proportion of her income to projects that directly help struggling families.
